Phiraman is more than just a man spinning records and pumping up music that takes his audience into ecstasy. Phiraman is much more than just a DJ. He is a successful businessman, socialite, producer, and actor.
Born Phindile Makapela in Cape Town, Phiraman, as he is affectionately called, has established himself as one of South Africa’s hottest DJs. Phiraman began his music career in 2007 after meeting a friend who was a music producer and DJ and taught him how to DJ and produce music. In that same year, he attended the first Red Bull Academy in South Africa, which was hosted in Cape Town. After that, in 2001, he released his debut single.
In 2014, he met a buddy, Rabs Vhafuwi, who inspired him to take his music career to the next level by featuring him on the smash tune You Give Me Light, which also featured Blaq Opal. The song was played on all radio stations across the country.
