Tellaman is a singer, songwriter, and producer from South Africa. His true name is Thelumusa Samuel Owen (born 14 April 1991). He was born and raised in Durban and comes from a musical family. He rose to prominence after DJ Speedsta’s chart-topping hit Mayo.
Tella is a self-taught musician whose mother encouraged him to sing at home, church, and in a youth chorus when he was young. He chose to pursue music as a career at the age of fifteen and began writing and recording his own music.
Tellaman was signed by Soul Candi Record and included on the compilation album Soul Candi Sessions 15 with Mo Flava, Lulo Café, Hareal Salko, and Cueber. Tellaman had his own disc on the collection, Ntsikelelo, which includes smash tracks “Drinks and Music” with Okmalumkoolkat and “Intoxicated” with Lastee.
