In 2017, the then-24-year-old Cape Town singer appeared on the second season of The Voice SA, winning over fans and judges alike with his endless vocal range—all the more astounding given that the introverted artist had never performed in front of an audience before.

Craig’s ability to fill the spotlight without really embracing it is part of his allure. “I’m just a quiet kid from down south/ Stuck writing sad songs for my health/ I like being at home by myself, I’m a weirdo,” he sings on his 2021 single “Weird.”
